UntitledAs Every cake is made to order in Our Local Authority Approved Kitchen , it means we have control over the ingredients that go into Our products. We always use the best ingredients, however if you prefer Organic,Nut free, Gluten free, Egg Free , Dairy free or extra Chocolaty then we are always happy to oblige.

Madeira Sponge  A plain sponge, layered with Jam & Buttercream, this sponge is ideal for novelty cakes, because of it's firm texture which makes it perfect for carving into shapes, it is also great for cakes that need to be stored for a little while.

Victoria Sponge A lighter, airier sponge, like Mum used to make, filled with jam and whipped buttercream.

Genoese Sponge This sponge is whisked over hot water, to create a soft pale sponge, lovely with jam.

Chocolate Sponge A firm , moist sponge made with melted plain chocolate, perfect for Carving into shapes filled with chocolate buttercream.

Chocolate Mud cake A moist chocolate sponge,made with Buttermilk, layered with either chocolate buttercream or Chocolate Ganache for a wickedly grown-up cake.

Luscious Lemon Cake A firm, moist sponge flavoured with lemon juice and soaked in a warm lemon syrup, this cake is layered with a lemon curd buttercream for a zest flavour.

Carrot Cake This cake can be made with or without nuts ( and is my personal favourite) I use Brandy soaked Sultanas and ground spices to create a flavoursome cake. I like to layer ths sponge with orange flower water buttercream.

Rich, Moist Fruit Cake A traditional cake packed with brandy steeped fruits, this cake is traditionally covered with a layer of Marzipan and can be iced with either sugarpaste or royal iced for the totally traditional taste.

New Flavours Caramel sponge with salted caramel buttercream filling, this is a made with a caramel flavour and filled with caramel buttercream laced with ground salted carame, for a textured filling to tickle your tastebuds.

Red Velvet A beautifully deep red sponge made with Buttermilk, and filled with a vanilla buttercream ( we tried Cream cheese filling but it just doesn't store very well).



UntitledConsultations are available at Barclands, Halstead Road, Eight Ash Green, by appointment only (please see our contacts page). You will have the opportunity to browse through our portfoilo, have a tasting (wedding only) and discuss ideas over a coffee. We are more then happy to discuss cakes via phone or email, however we are a bespoke service and find that a more personal end result is created when we meet our customers. All boxed up

UntitledUnfortunately I am only able to deliver wedding cakes at the moment , but watch this space. As I work form home this usually makes it easier for you to collect your cake at a convenient time, Suagr Bees Essex is located just off the A12 on the main road to Between Halstead & Colchester. All cakes will be boxed up and ready to go, you just need to make sure you have space in your car.Cake stands and knifves are aslo available to hire.  Payment is by Cash or Cheque on collection.  Wedding cakes  require a deposit of 1/3rd and final payment 4 weeks before the Event, this can be made by cash, cheque or BAC payments, details will be provided at time of ordering.
